🌿 Care Guide
Light: Bright, filtered light with gentle morning sunlight. Protect from harsh afternoon sun.
Temperature: Preferably around *18–32°C*, with good ventilation.
Watering: Water thoroughly when the growing medium starts to dry. Never allow the pot to remain waterlogged.
Humidity: Around *50–70%* with good air movement.
Potting: Use a well-draining orchid medium such as bark, coco chips, charcoal, or a suitable orchid mix.
Fertilizer: Apply a balanced orchid fertilizer during active growth according to the product label. Avoid over-fertilizing.
Repotting: Repot when the medium breaks down or the plant becomes crowded, preferably when new roots are starting.
🐛 Thrips Care
Thrips can attack young leaves, flower buds and flowers, causing silvery marks, scarring, distortion and poor-quality blooms.
Prevention & management:
1. Inspect new plants carefully before adding them to your collection.
2. Check young leaves, buds and flowers regularly.
3. Remove badly damaged flowers or plant material when appropriate.
4. Keep the growing area clean and well ventilated.
5. For an established infestation, use a registered insecticide approved for ornamental plants , following the label dosage and safety instructions exactly.
6. Avoid repeatedly using the same insecticide; rotating products with different modes of action can help reduce resistance.
