Air plants, botanically known as Tillandsia, are unique, soil-free plants belonging to the Bromeliaceae family. Native to Central & South America, Mexico, and the southern United States, they naturally grow attached to trees, rocks, and cliffs, absorbing water and nutrients directly from the air.

🌱 Plant Structure & Growth

• Roots: Mainly for anchoring, not nutrient absorption

• Leaves: Thin, narrow, or thick depending on species; covered with tiny scales called trichomes that absorb moisture

• Growth Habit: Forms rosettes or clumps; some species trail or curl
